I just thought I'd see what everyone here is studying. I myself am currently majoring in Commerce, with a bit of psychology on the side. Howabout the rest of you?
What are you majoring in?

I studying level design. Going from game level design, to some architect stuff. Building structures and such things. That's why I entered this contest: I need a better system as I have now or I want make it.
It's quite complex, even when you know what you are doing. I like it because it's like you draw something but you can live in it, you can live in the world you created. You can literally walk into it. Every time you turn a step to the right or left, you see something different. When you draw on paper you see one image, and that's it.If you watch some pictures, you know what I mean, you will get lost if you don't know what you're doing:

Under my community college, Administration of Justice.When I transfer,however, I will be a student of Criminology,Law,and Society.
Why did you choose the majors that you did?
I enjoy criminal investigations, but can't pinpoint what exactly I wanted to do in the field.I thought that this major was broad enough to encompass all my interests.

I think everyone will answer the same: because we like it. I don't think you will choose the major you dislike. My choice was simple, architecture was something I realy, realy enjoyed. I looked on many Nat. Geographical Enginering programs. I knew it quite soon, this is what I'd to become!

Wow, everyone has stuff that sounds SO much fancier than commerce! I chose it because I figured it would help in the near future, to be honest.

Don't worry Jonno42, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm doing a degree in commerce as well.

I am majoring in Computer Engineering, and so far I'm loving it!

I'm in a funny program where my major is decided for me. Technically, I'm majoring in Business Administration. However, I get to select what I have a concentration in- the decision is due by the end of the year.
At the moment, I'm leaning towards marketing. I really enjoy spending time online/social media and think that most businesses are realizing that the Internet is the way of future. I think helping businesses use the Internet as a tool to communicate and interact with customers would be a very rewarding career.

@asanchez
What are you doing precisely? I also work with computers but maybe in a whole different way then you. Is it computer programming you do? (Then it's something really different :P)Posted 2 years ago # -
Yeah Bogdan, marketing is looking pretty cool at the moment. Only first year though, so it's rather basic. Why is your major decided for you?
Posted 2 years ago # -
I'm pretty sure Bogdan just means that he's doing a BBA as his degree which means his major is chosen, but he has the opportunity to specialize in a certain field (where marketing comes in). Most business programs are like this.

Ah, a misunderstanding on my part then. That is also how it works here, you choose a field to specialize in, and much like bogdan, I have gone into marketing.

Recently we use the system bachelor/master. Before it was regentaat/licenciaat (dutch), but it changed few years ago. I guess it was always been bachelor/master in America?

Came in on a Studio Art major. Soon realized I couldn't draw worth a damn compared to other people in my class (I had cartoon figures going, they had real-life portraits) so I switched to English. Soon picked up a Creative Writing emphasis, and then went after the Middle East Studies Certificate. Now I'm adding Poli Sci as a second major, God help me.

Everyone can be wrong when choosing, but do you think you're on the right track now?

Wow Tinct, thinking of doing a bit of journalism? With those courses, you are pretty much set.

He has written lots of articles now, so he is on track to be the new journalist of the century! haha :D

I'm majoring in Japanese Language and Studies (Japanology). I actually don't like it so much but as time went by, I'm starting to have interest on it. But music will still be first! :)
Posted 2 years ago # -
What type of music do you play? Have you ever been to Japan?
Even French was hard for me, so I don't understand how you can study Japanese and come away proficient(assuming you are,of course) :D

I'm playing guitar. :P But you didn't asked the question to me. Anyway in Belgium you have to learn 4 languages: Dutch, English, French and German (only two last years of high school)
Posted 2 years ago # -
@Devenox: Vraiment? That makes sense,though.You have much more use of it than I would.Do you find yourself proficient in all of them or does it come easy since you've been studying so long?
Acoustic or electric?
Posted 2 years ago # -
Well, Belgium has two langues, the north speaks French, the west speaks Dutch, really small area does speak German. Our neighbours are France, Germany, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. So once again these languages. I don't like french, it's cool once you can speak it fluently, but it sucks to learn, believe me. :D I like to learn English and German though!
@guitar
