   makes one wonder...if obama is the best out of the 205 of the "best" then why is our country so messed up atm? o.0

   This will just keep adding to Obama´s godlike self-image until everyone has had enough and holds him accountable like any other president in the past.

   At the very least he should say he doesnt deserve it and list some other people who might deserve it even if he feels like he must accept the honor!

   Okay...so at first, I was a little disappointed. But why? I thought about it, and maybe it's because I might be a little sick of how much everyone glorifies him. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Obama. But, I felt like he got it because of his "star" status. However, after reading the article, I might have changed my mind. I'm kinda happy he is getting some kind of recognition, and hopefully this will give him the boost to carry through his plans. They are fairly hardcore plans that need a lot of work.

   how can you be happy that someone got something for things that they haven't yet accomplished? Its like giving someone the $1mil for the lottery before they buy their ticket assuming that just because they told you they were gonna win, they would. I think the board that gave him the award now regret it (since voting was in February or something) and even he probably knows it was a mistake. Thats just my 2c

   Obama had not been mentioned as among front-runners for the prize, and the roomful of reporters gasped when Thorbjorn Jagland, chairman of the Nobel committee, announced that the president was the winner.
   "This award is not simply about my administration," he said. It "must be shared" with everyone who strives for "justice and dignity."
