Not yet! I'm finishing up my first one and getting it in tonight! I wonder how quickly it takes them to be approved and if any actually get rejected...

I tried to post an article but it didn't take...
:(

Same here.

What exactly do you have to write? I have read the "Writing Guidelines" but I'm not sure where to begin
To bad article is more important then the forum and comments. You will probably have like 20 times more comments and forum posts then articles. Anyway it's not up to me to decide, I'm glad it's not another random contest!Posted 2 years ago # -
That's usually how it goes, comments and posts will always be more common than articles. Well, unless you are a prolific writer that is.. Anyway, I plan on submitting an article soon, hope it gets accepted!

If it's more used, then it deserves a higher % ?
What do you guys write about? I'm interested about what you write.Posted 2 years ago # -
I've submitted several, but am now anxiously awaiting approval as I wrote several at once and only one thus far has been published.I'm terrible at coming up with ideas, though.

Of course the used articles are the ones that matter. The idea is to add content to the site! I resubmitted an article this morning. I have a little plan thought out for the next one I'll write. Hopefully, my first one will get accepted though!

How can you know if they're not accepted? Will there be a 'rejection' besides the article, or does it go into article limbo of 'pending'?
Posted 2 years ago # -
No idea... I think the article won't be labeled as "pending" any further if it's rejected. You contact the admins of site at the contact link below.

Yea, i have no idea either. I think the website took my article but theres nowhere showing a pending approval or accepted. So I don't know.
Posted 2 years ago # -
If you go to http://collegetimes.us/wp-admin/ and click on posts. You see your article's title with - pending after it.
@Bogdan:
What is the point of writting articles if your community isn't active. Then you write for the dead...Posted 2 years ago # -
It says 0 pending, 0 accepted.
What does that mean. Can an admin check to see if mine got uploaded?
Thanks,
JackPosted 2 years ago # -
Do what I wrote above, Jack. It's the same here 0 pending and 0 accepted, but if you do the above steps then you will see what the status is.
By the way, how many articles do you have already? I just one.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Sweet, thanks a lot!
It says pending, great. I only wrote one article so far.
Posted 2 years ago # -
As long as you wrote one article you're in, that's right, isn't it?
Posted 2 years ago # -
Yeah, the contest only requires on article to be accepted.
Well, arguably, good articles will bring readers and members to the community. But yeah, you need both content and community, that's why both count towards your entry in contest...

It's a good contest for both sides: CollegeTimes is growing thanks to the community and articles and the most active, the winner, gets rewarded. That's why I like CollegeTimes the most of all the other contest out there. Others make the contest a jackpot: no personal effort, no activity. I mean you can register and take part by folowing some site on twitter and win by putting 5 mins of your time.
I know you can't be all days very active, but I tried to be very active, I even sleep less :P
Maybe my activity isn't realy visible because I live in Europe and all the others in America. There are some hours I can't post, when Americans can and visa versa.Anyway I can't post one day because I go family one day. I hope that doesn't count as inactivity...

Just submitted an article and about to submit a forum post. Hope everything is accepted and that i've done it right.
Posted 2 years ago # -
If you see you article on the homepage, you're safe! As long as it is pending, you're ok, once it is rejected you have a problem. :P
Posted 2 years ago # -
Yeah! Maybe I should stop slacking and get this article posted. I think I know what my evening is going encompass.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Writing one article is fun, but writing many in some days is not that fun anymore, I suppose :D
Anyway we do it all, to help collegetimes to have some extra content and also because of winning this contest. Then a little effort isn't that much asked.Posted 2 years ago # -
I didn't know we had to wait for our articles to be approved... I've never seen one of mine with a 'pending' status before...
Posted 2 years ago # -
LOL, maybe you're a VIP writer or you had such an amazing stories that they were published right away!
