I stream,but it's a habit to be stopped!!
Mostly Legal, maybe an occasional tv show download. but network tv downloading is right on the boarder of illegal and legal.
Mostly legal, but things like watching a movie clip on youtube is illegal, but I watch it. I don't blame myself because some artists have become big thanks to youtube.
Wouldn't the person who posted the youtube video get in trouble rather than you if you watch it on that forum? I know that Youtube is pretty good about taking down illegal clips
They can't win against the thousand, millions of uploaders anyway...
If all illegal content was deleted, youtube wouldn't be the big nummer 1 today, that's for sure!
Haha, yeah, that's true. It's addictive,I'll tell you.I usually hit up tvshack.net and sites like that, but I really have to cut down.
But artists also earns money of youtube; if you search for a certain band or artist then you want to hear it first before buying. If you hadn't listen to it, you maybe didn't buy it. Youtube makes people famous, if they like it or not.
I mostly download illegal.Sorry can't afford original stuffz. :(
We're the same!
Most of my downloads are legal, I do get the occasional game or show via semi-illegal means though! Hahaha, I really shouldn't, but I'm a poor student!
I had a discussion about this in class. The teacher compared downloading to walking down the street and coming to a gas station, and stealing a bag of ice from one of those containers outside. It's just water, right? It's not affecting anyone? Then he compared it to downloading/streaming illegal content, saying it hurts everyone in the production of that movie/music.
That made me feel a bit worse, because I kind of just imagined a faceless corporation, but I still watch movies online so not sure what that says about me.
thats a stupid analogy. The ice at a gas station directly hurts the gas station because they paid for it.
downloading illegal simply doesnt help the artists. it doesnt hurt them though.
But you aren't buying the material because you are watching it for free,so that has to hurt business.
But its stuff I wouldn't buy anyways :p
I only download music, and rarely. never movies, and sometimes tv shows, but i end up buying them anyways for better quality.
Seems their strategy work then :) They let you view it in low quality (in cinema). After some months they release it in HD, and guess what, you buy it. I'm just the same like you vanquished, I also like clear, crisp movies. :P
Nice.
