So recently I've been through some training regarding copyright infringement and illegal downloading. After looking over some documentaries about the RIAA and all the lawsuits, I'm conflicted. I can understand the idea of intellectual property but it just seems like the RIAA and other internet interpol agencies are just targeting people with enormous fines, almost ruining people's lives. What do you guys think?

I agree, even though there are warnings,it really seems a bit excessive. They have shown "leniency" with people like college students, only fining them tens of thousands of dollars
