This genius royal photographer for the tsar had a special technique of combining 3 photos, one from each filter of red, green, and blue, into a single glass photograph. Digital imaging restored them in 2001 and they were recently released to the public in France, where the photographer had settled after fleeing Russia after the tsar was murdered. Insane!
Looks like they were shot on a digital Nikon just last week!
